Therapy Specialists of Oklahoma’s founder and co-owner Joe A. Streich values his client relationships highly. In fact, it was his goal to be able to work hands on with clients to see improvements to their injuries and conditions over a decent period of time and get to know them that prompted his career choice.
A native Oklahoman raised in Northwest Oklahoma City, he attended Putnam City North High School, graduating in 1992.
He then attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO on a football/academic scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 1997.
He returned to his native Oklahoma and worked in the fitness and sports development industry before deciding to pursue his choice career of being a physical therapist. He moved to Kansas City and earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center Physical Therapy program in 2000.
Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Oklahoma, he is also certified to perform dry needling. His specialties include manual therapy, orthopedics, and sports medicine.
In the ensuring years, Joe gathered extensive experience in the delivery of care, as well as the practice management of physical therapists in private practice.
He is a long time active member of the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association as well as a member of the Private Practice Section of the America Physical Therapy Association.
An ardent Oklahoma University (OU) football fan as well an Oklahoma City Thunder basketball fan. Joe also enjoys cycling and golf. But most of all, he appreciates spending quality time with his wife, Tammy, and their daughter, Sophie.
